Wednesday, 22 November 2023 Hamas and Israel have agreed to a four-day ceasefire, mediated by Qatar and Egypt. As part of the agreement, Hamas will release 50 women and children hostages in exchange for the release of 150 Palestinian women and children. The ceasefire will also allow for humanitarian aid, medical supplies, and fuel to enter Gaza. Israel has confirmed the deal and stated that the pause in fighting will be extended for every additional 10 hostages released. Qatar hopes that this ceasefire will lead to a permanent resolution to the conflict.
