The deal involves the release of Israeli hostages by Hamas and the release of Palestinian prisoners. The ceasefire is mediated by Egypt and Qatar. Aid trucks carrying food, water, medical equipment, and relief supplies have entered Gaza. Fuel deliveries have also been permitted to support critical services. The aid delivery mechanisms of the IDF are deemed insufficient for the required increase.
