Pakistan military court sentences two former army officers for espionage
Saturday, 25 November 2023 Two retired Pakistani Army officers have been court-martialed and sentenced to up to 14 years of rigorous imprisonment for inciting sedition, marking the beginning of military court trials for those involved in the violence against military installations on May 9. Major (Retired) Adil Farooq Raja and Captain (Retired) Haider Raza Mehdi, critical of the senior Army leadership, were sentenced in absentia. The Army stated that they were convicted for inciting sedition and violating the Official Secrets Act.
