Israel bombs northern Gaza, reports mounting military losses

Israel continues to bomb Jabalia in the northern Gaza Strip, with fighting ongoing. The Israeli military has announced a rising death toll in clashes with Hamas militants. US President Joe Biden and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu have discussed the Israeli campaign. Israel's main ally supports the campaign but expresses concern over the casualty toll and humanitarian crisis. The UN Security Council removed a call for an immediate end to the war from a draft resolution. The Palestinian death toll has reached 20,258.
