Landslide in hilly south China kills at least 47

The landslide in China's southwestern Yunnan province on Monday killed at least 47 people from 18 households, according to the preliminary investigation. The broadcaster said authorities had launched an emergency response involving over 200 rescue workers as well as dozens of fire engines and other equipment. Landslides are common in Yunnan.
