Former UK home secretaries Suella Braverman and Priti Patel, both of Indian descent, have alleged that British churches are facilitating fraudulent asylum claims by embracing Christianity "on an industrial scale." British clergy members are under scrutiny for potentially being misled by asylum seekers, as evidenced by a recent incident involving an Afghan refugee who attacked two women and their children with an alkaline chemical in Clapham last week.
