Pakistan freezes SIM cards of 506,671 individuals for not filing 2023 tax returns, aiming to boost return filers by targeting those with taxable income through a new action by FBR. FBR has discovered 2.4 million potential taxpayers who were previously not on the tax rolls. These persons were eventually served with notices, as per an official source.
