South Korean finance minister Choi resigns: Ministry
Thursday, 1 May 2025 () Finance Minister of South Korea, Choi Sang-mok, resigned. This happened as the parliament was voting on his impeachment. The impeachment vote was halted after Han accepted Choi's resignation. Education Minister Lee Ju-ho will now manage the presidential election process. This follows former President Yoon Suk Yeol's declaration in December. The presidential election is scheduled for June 3.
