A French mining company sues Niger after its director disappears and offices are raided

Niger's military authorities, who seized power in 2023, have tightened their grip on foreign companies, withdrawing Orano's mining permit and taking control of a subsidiary. The authorities have also arrested radio station staff, accusing them of spreading fake news.
