Nearly Half Of Confirmed Coronavirus Patients Have Nausea, Vomiting, Or Diarrhea As First Symptoms

New data from China shows that many coronavirus patients in their mid-50's first presented with gastrointestinal symptoms. According to researchers, almost half of patients with the new coronavirus experience nausea, vomiting, or diarrhea.

New studies show that symptoms like nausea and diarrhea could be early clues of coronavirus infection.

The virus primarily causes fever or difficulty breathing, stomach symptoms sometimes appear first.

The coronavirus is spread through person to person contact or from touching an infected surface and then touching your face.

According to Business Insider, scientists have now confirmed that like SARS, the new coronavirus could also spread through feces.

The first US patient with coronavirus had gastrointestinal symptoms and researchers later detected the virus' RNA in his feces.
