Every year the Red Cross in northern Illinois honors extraordinary individuals in our area for their acts of heroism, dedication and service to our community.

The heroes are usually honored with a breakfast, and CBS Chicago is a proud sponsor.

That will not happen with COVID-19.

Instead, we want to share their stories here.
