A local restaurant owner in Chico says he's thankful for the support he's getting from the community,

8 deaths.### we are*fiv* weeks into the stay-at-home order and many local restaurants are working to stay afloat by offering food to-go.

Action news now reporter kristian lopez spoke with a local restaurant owner in chico -- and shows us how they are doing during this difficult time.

Kristian intro: bella pub had just celebrated their grand opening at their new location here on main street days before the stay at home order was issued.

Josh marks/owner of bellas parkside: it josh marks owns two restaurants in chico - bella sports pub and parkside taphouse.

His restaurants are still closed but he curbside pick-up at both locations.

Josh marks: i think people are responding well so having the option to support a local business- we are very appreciative that we had a response.

He says he lay off almost 100 employees during this coronavirus pandemic but kept a few to help.

Rasheed mcneal/manager: ive seen a lot of regulars coming by and ordering and they recognize my voice or see my social media posts and they are happy to support.

We have a good support system helps out the business and employees.

All of the employees are taking extra steps to stay safe while working.(((ill show video here of them with their masks and gloves))) josh marks: i hope eventually the scare subsides and we can get back to our way of life and business.

Kristian: we still don long this stay at home order will be in effect but the owner here tells me hes thankful for all of the support he during this time.
