A tropical storm brought heavy rain and flash floods in Bangkok, Thailand, this afternoon.

Thunder and lightning struck the capital at around midday along with strong winds and torrential downpours.

The rain caused flash floods on a large numbers of roads as drivers battled through the deluge.

Storms have swept through the country over the last two weeks amid the onset of summer and temperatures reaching more then 36c in many places.
