US Sen. Grassley talks CARES actHe's got a few things on his checklist for the next COVID-19 relief bill

That's not yet been confirmed./// business owners looking to recover losses from the coronavirus shutdown have a lot of questions when it comes to the cares act.

This afternoon, iowa's senior ?

S senator chuck grassley joined them to provide answers.

Kimt news 3's nick kruszalnicki listened in on the call?

He joins us live with what he learned.

Nick?

George?

Just like this statue here, the economy has been frozen for months.

The cares act was designed to keep a little economic movement going, but it's not without it's faults.

Senator grassley said the cares act was written very quickly?

Because they wanted to get relief out to businesses as fast as possible.

Because of that, there were many aspects left out or are a little vague.

Grassley says he wants to see more specific relief for small businesses, becaues the paycheck protection program is not covering things like rent or utilities.

Another thing on grassley's wishlist for future legislation?

Protection from it wouldn't be eliminating lawsuits but from the standpoint of people acting in good faith who open up their business not to be accused of something that happens to be an act of god.

When it comes to the three trillion dollar relief package passed by the house, grassley says he doesn't support the bill because there's too many no?

Coronavirus aspects in it.

Live in mason city, nick kruszalnicki, kimt news 3.
