Heavy rain triggers flash flooding in Rowan County

There was a water rescue in Bell County on Memorial Day due to flash flooding, which also hit parts of Rowan County and other communities in eastern Kentucky.

For the second day in a row there was flash flooding and water rescues in parts of eastern kentucky.

One of the water rescues was in bell county.

There was also flash flooding in rowan county.

These pictures are from casey whitt in clearfield, which is right outside morehead.

That area had torrential rain.

Meteorlogist jason lindsey....who we'll check-in with in a moment...says that area picked up almost two-inches of rain in a short amount of time.

That sent water over roads and water levels rose quickly.
