Omar mosqueda is graduating from gridley high.

Omar mosqueda: i just want to make my family proud and that's what they really wanted to see a post from the gridley high school facebook page says the school's holding an event to honor some of the seniors this sunday at the guardian building.

They will keep families 6 feet apart and encourage people to wear masks.

One parent told me she heard the school was even planning a graduation the first weekend in june.

Eli canalsãlives in gridley: to not have it would be a shame you know because look it we can go everywhere right now why not have a graduation we reached out to the school several times to confirm this.

Standup: hi this is christina vitale with action news now again im just giving a call to see if the principal got my message or was available to talk with me about graduation.

The secretary told me the principal did not have a comment.

A few people i spoke with off camera told me they have safety concerns about an in person graduation.

Butte county public health put out a letter stating "in person graduation is not allowed at this time& drive-in services only."
