World Environment Day is celebrated on 5 June every year.
It is the United Nations' principal vehicle for encouraging awareness and action for the protection of our environment.
British photographer & champion of endangered species, Paul Goldstein celebrates the day with these pictures.
He says we must learn from the vrief planetary environmental respite caused by Covid-19 lockdown.
"We, and I include all politicians and heads of industry, owe thsi to our precarious environment'.
"Change is a big and pertinent word today, it needs to be grasped, not ignored".
