Two crazed Pit Bulls massacre 30 chickens on farm in northern Thailand

A chicken breeder was shocked to find 30 of their birds massacred by a pair of escaped killer Pit Bull Terriers.

Tiraphat Proyngern, 31, heard hellish cries from the coop when he woke up in Kamphaeng Phet, central Thailand.

The farmer went to the check and saw the blood-splattered dogs in a cloud of feathers.

They are believed to have broken free from a nearby home before they savaged the poultry.

Tiraphat called police who arrived with staff from the region's domestic animal office.

The officers then blasted the two muscular Pit Bulls with tranquilliser guns before caging them.

Officers are now trying to identify the owner of the dogs to take responsibility for the financial cost of the dead birds, which included 14 prized fighting roosters.

Police Captain Apichai Saraboon said: "We believe there might be a dog farm nearby and these two escaped from there.

"Initially, we will keep the dogs at the office while trying to find their owner and ask for them to take responsibility of the costs.''' Tiraphat, who has been breeding chickens all his working life, said he was still in shock at the bloodbath.

He said: ''There were 30 dead birds in the coop and I counted 14 roosters that were all very valuable.

"They are my entire source of income and the damage from this incident is terrible.''
