The TikTok video shows Robert Davies reacting to his gifts ranging from a book about corrosion to a laminated drill chart.

Filmed by Isaac Davies, Robert's son, the footage shows the surgeon's surprising yet heartwarming reactions to his presents.

Isaac told Newsflare: "This is my dad opening his birthday presents which he is super happy about.

He got what many would consider extremely boring presents but his delight is obvious.

"He actually asked for all of the presents, except the pyjamas at the end.

He’s a man that loves his gadgets and fixing things and loves having the right tools for the job.
