People across the country offered prayers on the auspicious occasion of Eid al-Adha.

People were seen greeting each other at Fatehpuri Masjid in Delhi.

Both men and women were seen offering prayers at their residence in Tamil Nadu's Coimbatore.

Devotees offered prayers in Amritsar amid heavy rainfall.

Eid al-Adha or Bakrid, also known as 'Sacrifice Feast' is marked by sacrificing a sheep or a goat to prove their devotion and love for Allah.

One of the devotees said, "We are maintaining social distancing and this year we are wishing each other just my speaking, 'Eid Mubarak'"

In the political world, Singh had been considered close to Samajwadi Party founder-patron Mulayam Singh Yadav, until he quit the party in 2010. A year later, he floated the Rashtriya Lok Manch which didn't perform well in the subsequent elections. In 2014, he had joined Ajit Singh's Rashtriya Lok Dal.

Testing of COVID-19 has increased in India. As per Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, a record high of 8,48,728 COVID-19 tests were conducted in the last 24 hours. "My appeal to people is to donate to AAP as many oximeters as possible so that every AAP worker can take the responsibility of his village to measure the oxygen level of people who have fever or breathlessness. We can save the lives of people through oximeters," he said. The chief minister also advised states to implement Delhi's home isolation model that can help in their battle against coronavirus.

Devotees distribute the offering to family, friends and neighbours. They also distribute the offering to poor and needy.
