Thousands demand release of LGBT activist in Warsaw
Protesters took to the streets of Warsaw, Poland on Saturday (August 8) to demand the release of an LGBT activist.
Transgender activist Malgorzata Szutowicz was detained on Friday (August 7) for hanging rainbow banners over statues and damaging an anti-abortion campaigner’s van.
In total, 48 protesters were arrested during scuffles with police on Friday.
