Diamond polishing industry has suffered a blow due to COVID-19 pandemic.

Dinesh Navadiya, Gujarat regional chairman of Gems and Jewellery Export Promotion Council said, "Compared to last year, the exports have gone down by US$ 3000 Million." "The demand for Indian diamond has not gone down but everything was closed across the world, so there was no business," said Dinesh Navadiya.
