The Allen County Election Board says over 10,000 people already applied for a mail-in ballot with more applications coming in every day.

Those who are eligible and plan to mail-in vote this November are encouraged to apply for their ballot now.

Last night we told you here on fox 55 who is eligible to vote by mail in allen county and if you plan to do so you're encouraged to apply for the ballot now.the allen county election board says over 10- thousand people have already applied for a mail in ballot with more applications coming in every day.

U-s-p-s is also warning that 1st class mail delivery turn around is currently at about 5 to 7 days.

Director of elections in allen county beth dlug says these 2 reasons are why you should apply for your mail-in ballot now to make sure your vote is counted on time.

The deadline to apply for a mail in ballot is october 22nd and they must be returned by noon on election day.
