Demand for substitute teachers is high, with some districts having to outsource

Experts say some educators have been reluctant to get back into the classroom due to the health and safety concerns around COVID-19.

A handful of local district employees have said they’ve even had to outsource through private companies to find qualified adults to substitute teach.
