At the request of the Department of Heath and Senior Services, the Missouri National Guard held two Drive thru testing events in Savannah and Cameron over the weekend.

Here in our area the events were held in cameron on saturday, and savannah on sunday.the missouri national guard says they're focusing on areas they consider hot spots across the state, those getting tested said the event is crucial for those considered high risk.i have some underlying health conditions that could make covid pretty serious and my doctor wanted me to come get tested.

This woman says she's seen an increase in covid-19 in rural area, she's a strong advocate for accessibilityi think everybody should have access to testing, it's not fake and it's not going to go away.

Those a little nervous about the test should know there've been some changes, the new testing method is a bit less invasive and a lot more hands on.

We don't do it for you, they give you the nasal swab you swab both of your nostrils, they bag it and ship it to the lab.

The missouri national guard says results are expected in 24-48 hours, something those getting tested are satisfied about because it helps them know their status.

My biggest fear is to hurt others out of it honestly>> the missouri national guard says about 150 people were tested saturday, and 168 were tested today.
