Footage shows a firefighter rappelling down the well and the man being pulled up using thick ropes as villagers look on.

According to the reports, the man, identified as Ashok, was in a field nearby when he accidentally fell into the well.

The villagers informed the Pappireddipatti fire department, who immediately arrived and carried out the rescue operation.

The man was later taken to a nearby hospital to receive medical attention.
