With several other things, COVID-19 imposed lockdown has also shaken the education system of India.

Government adopted new ways of teaching children such as online classes but those who cannot afford smart phones or laptops are suffering the most in this tough time.

To help such kids, a policeman started initiative in Delhi.

Constable Than Singh took classes for poor children in a temple complex near Red Fort.

He said, "I had been running this class since before pandemic.

These children cannot take online classes and I want them to study so they don't get mired in bad company and criminality." People like Than Singh are 'light in the times of darkness'.
