Singh said that the possibility of another 26/11-like attack is virtually impossible, given the changes in national security ushered in by the Narendra Modi-led National Democratic Alliance government. Protest erupted in Pakistan -occupied Gilgit-Baltistan over ‘rigged’ assembly elections. People protested against Prime Minister Imran Khan-led Pakistan govt. Protesters burnt tyres and blocked roads to show their anger and frustration. The opposition accused the government of blatant misuse of power. Khan’s party, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf won a majority of the 23 assembly seats. Hundreds of people have joined the demonstrations following a protest call made by their political parties. People protested across the region in Gilgit-Baltistan on November 25 (Wednesday). They alleged that Gilgit-Baltistan Assembly election was rigged. Pakistan's Prime Minister Imran Khan's party Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has won majority of the 23 assembly seats there.
Massive protests have broken out in Gilgit-Baltistan region against Imran Khan’s party PTI over alleged rigging of polls. Major opposition parties including the Pakistan People’s Party led by Bilawal Bhutto Zardari and & the PML-N of former PM Nawaz Sharif have been protesting against the government over the issue. Elections in the area were held amid relentless protests by people of the area over the illegal occupation of the region by Pakistan.
