Speaking to ANI in the national capital on December 27, Chairperson of National Commission for Protection of Child Rights (NCPCR), Priyank Kanoongo said, "Probe of children's home in Assam revealed that they were funded by Turkish NGO IHH International and personal details of children were shared with them.

IHH functionaries have been questioned by Turkish agencies for their alleged links with Al-Qaeda." "We found discrepancies in children's record and they weren't given entitlements and given corporal punishment.

We have submitted report to the state government and recommended registration of FIR against unregistered homes.

We have urged government to involve specialised agencies for probe," NCPCR Chairperson added.
