Farmers announce to block roads on Feb 6; police deny making illegal arrests

Farmers alleged that some protesters have been illegally detained.

The Delhi Police, however, denied charges and issued clarification over the arrests made.

Farmers also announced 3-hour roadblock on February 6.

Delhi Police have filed 44 FIRs and arrested 122 people in connection with the farmers’ protest, said PRO Eish Singhal, who also appealed to the people to not pay heed to rumours.

“We have provided the information on our website, anyone can see it.

Police have not detained anyone illegally.” Farmer unions have decided to block the national highways and state highways across the country for three hours on February 6 to press their demand for the repeal of three farm laws.
