Restoration work of centuries old Kotli Fort in Udhampur begins

Giving a major boost to tourism in Jammu and Kashmir, the restoration work of the Kotli Fort began by the local administration in JandK.

Kotli Fort is one of the oldest forts in JandK's Udhampur district.

The restoration work of the fort has started at a cost of nearly Rs 94 Lakhs for phase-1.

Fort will be one of the major tourist destinations after the completion of restoration work.

The fort has its own historical significance, It is believed that Raja Dayal Chand of Chenani built this strong Fort for the protection of State.
