Tripura's TIPRA holds mass gathering, demands 'Greater Tipraland'
The political dynamics of the Tripura Tribal Areas Autonomous District Council (TTAADC) is constantly taking new twists with swinging alliances.
Only a week back, ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) ally IPFT (Indigenous People's Front of Tripura) forming an alliance with the newly formed The Indigenous People's Regional Alliance (TIPRA) party under the leadership of former Congress chief and royal scion Pradyot Kishore Deb Barman on the demand of 'Tipraland'.
However, on Friday, IPFT kept itself away from the rally on demand of 'Greater Tipraland.'
In fact, a new ally Indigenous Nationalist Party of Tripura (INPT) president Bijoy Kumar Hrangkhawl was seen accompanying Deb Barman who sometime back had resigned as the Congress party chief of Tripura.
Demand for 'Greater Tipraland' is for every indigenous area or village outside the TTAADC area and through integration for preserving the identity and culture of Tipra community.
