Union Minister of State for Finance and Corporate Affairs, Anurag Thakur becomes the first serving (BJP MP in current government) and Minister to become Captain in the Territorial Army (TA) as a regular commissioned officer on March 10.
He was commissioned into the TA in July 2016 as a Lieutenant.
Supporters of Union Minister and BJP candidate from Hamirpur Lok Sabha seat, Anurag Thakur, have started celebrating outside the party office in Hamirpur as the latest ECI trends show him leading by a margin of 1,73,461 votes. Counting is still underway.
