L3: abc 36 news white former lexington police officer suing to get job back the lexington- fayette urban county council voted last month to fire jervis middleton after a police disciplinary hearing.

He is accused of violating department policies by sharing details about police officers and department plans involving a black lives matter protest to his friend... protest leader sarah williams. according to the newspaper... lawyers for middleton filed an appeal in court today... saying the city violated middelton's due process rights by failing to have a disciplinary hearing in the required time frame and for not charging middleton correctly.
