Bigg Boss 13 contestant and Youtuber Hindustani Bhau was arrested by the Mumbai police at Shivaji Park on Saturday for leading a protest there to cancel the 12th board exams in Maharashtra. According to reports, Hindustani Bhau had used an ambulance to travel to the park to stage the protest in order to deceive the police since the vehicle is not stopped at any checkpoint.

As the second Covid wave in India wreaks havoc, migrant workers rush home from Mumbai. Thousands were seen at Mumbai’s Lokmanya Tilak Terminus. Speaking to Hindustan Times, some of the migrant workers revealed why they would never return again. COVID-19 cases continued to rise in Maharashtra as state reported over 68,000 cases on April 19. Migrant workers began to return to their native places from Mumbai amid COVID scare. Workers thronged Lokmanya Tilak Terminus to catch trains on April 19. Currently, Mumbai has 86,688 active cases of COVID-19. The State government has imposed lockdown-like restrictions till May 01 and has also imposed Section 144 in view of spread of coronavirus.
While lockdown-like restrictions are in place in Maharashtra, Lokmanya Tilak Terminus remains crowded. Several migrant workers await their respective trains outside the station. Restrictions were imposed in view of rising COVID cases in Maharashtra.
A consignment of 25 boxes of Covishield vaccine arrived at Raipur from Mumbai. Following Chhattisgarh High Court orders, the stare government had commenced vaccination drive for citizens between 18-44 age groups. The state required vaccines in order to continue the vaccination process.
