Veteran who helped create Pikes Peak National Cemetary laid to rest
A local veteran who spent decades working to bring the Pikes Peak National Veterans Cemetery to our area was laid to rest at that cemetery this afternoon.
Vic Fernandez is a former El Paso county "Veteran of the Year" and spent 30 years in the military before he retiring.
