In a recent statement, the Russian defence minister has said that Ukraine’s military capacity is seriously degraded and Ukraine is no longer left with an airforce.
As reported by the news agency Reuters, the defence minister also said that around 600 foreign mercenaries have been killed in Ukraine over the last two weeks.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy warned on Friday that the safety of Europe's largest nuclear power plant Zaporizhzhia is threatened by Russia's war against Ukraine, as the country marked the 38th anniversary of the Chernobyl disaster.
