PM: UK may pull out of ECHR to force through Rwanda flights
Prime Minister Boris Johnson suggests it may be "necessary" for the UK to pull out of the European Convention on Human Rights in a bid to avoid legal challenges to their Rwanda deportation flights.
The PM feels that the flights are part of a "sensible law" and that all options to keep it in action are "under constant review".

Following two years of challenges, British parliament has passed the controversial bill, CNN reports.
The U.K. government will now be able to
redirect asylum seekers to Rwanda, where their claims will be weighed by the East African country.
Prime Minister Rishi Sunak celebrated
the bill's passage on April 23. .

have condemned the bill. .

A Moroccan asylum seeker has been sentenced to life in jail for murder, with a minimum term of 45 years, at Teesside Crown Court. In October last year, 45-year-old Ahmed Alid stabbed Iranian Christian convert Javed Nouri at the house he was sharing with other asylum seekers before looking for more victims in Hartlepool town centre. He then stabbed and killed 70-year-old Terence Carney who was out for his regular early morning walk.
