site of a deadly air and maritime battle.
The series of war games was modeled
after the most likely scenario
for a Chinese attack on Taiwan. .
The invasion always starts the same way:
an opening bombardment destroys most
of Taiwan's Navy and Air Force in
the first hours of hostilities, CSIS report, via 'Newsweek'.
The war games showed that Chinese forces were
unable to capture working ports or airfields, which
