Replacing the static recommendations, users will now see an endless feed of both audio and video previews of playlists, albums, podcasts and audiobooks.

Those same previews are now also built into Spotify's search function.

The new features come after Spotify announced significant layoffs that saw the company reduce its global workforce by about six percent.

While speaking at a conference hosted by Morgan Stanley, Spotify's chief financial officer called the layoffs "a real positive" and a necessary step for the company to evolve.

Recently, Spotify also unveiled its personalized AI guide, DJ, which is now available to premium users in the United States and Canada as part of a Beta launch.
