Born in London in 1944, Goodman began dancing at
the age of 19 and was a professional dancer before
becoming a regular on televised dance competitions.
Goodman was the head judge on BBC's
'Strictly Come Dancing' from its inception
in 2004 until his final appearance in 2016.
Following the news of his death,
BBC director-general Tim Davie
wrote that Goodman was a, âwonderful, warm entertainer
who was adored by millions.â.
He appealed to all ages and felt
like a member of everyoneâs
family.

He will be hugely missed by the public
