Health secretary urges NHS workers to ‘move forward’ on pay

Health Secretary Steve Barclay says the government’s acceptance of the recommendations from pay review bodies is an "opportunity for the NHS to move forward".

Speaking at the Department of Health and Social Care, Mr Barclay says: "Today's offer, 10.3% for some doctors in training, some consultants getting pay rise of over £7,000, is a fair offer, a fair settlement”.
