West Yorkshire Police is in hot water after a TikTok video showing the arrest of a 16-year-old autistic girl at her home in Leeds on August 7, 2023 went viral.

The girl’s mother, who filmed the arrest, said that her daughter was accused of making a homophobic comment to a female officer belonging to the British police department, but it was a misunderstanding.

The video shows the girl being dragged out of the house by seven officers, while she screams and cries in pain.

The girl was released with no further action, but the police said they are reviewing the incident and learning from it.
