A plane carrying five Americans freed by Iran landed in the United States on Tuesday.
The arrival of the American prisoners came a day after they were swapped for five Iranians detained in the US and the unfreezing of $6 billion in Iranian funds.
This is being reported to be a rare deal between the two nations who are often described as arch-enemies.
The release of the prisoners followed a carefully choreographed exchange, which was agreed after months of Qatar-mediated talks.
