Boff: Braverman's language during speech vilified gay people
The prominent Conservative who was ejected from the party's conference on Tuesday has accused Suella Braverman of using language that "vilified" gay people.
Andrew Boff, a London Assembly member and former leader of the Tories in City Hall, could be heard saying “there’s no such thing as gender ideology" before being marched out of the conference hall by security guards.

Shadow chancellor Rachel Reeves has accused Rishi Sunak of lying about Labour's tax plans in his first TV debate against Sir Keir Starmer as she revealed the party has "no plans to increase taxes on working people." Ms Reeves said: "Rishi Sunak lied twelves times in the debate last night about Labour's tax plans. The truth is it's the Conservatives who have taken the tax burden to the highest it's been in seventy years."

Home secretary James Cleverly has defended the Conservative's pledge to cap migration if they win another term in government. It comes as Rishi Sunak promised the number of visas available to migrants would be reduced each year under a new Conservative government. Shadow defence secretary John Healey has ruled out raising taxes on working people. It comes as Rishi Sunak accused Labour of increasing taxes by £2,000 per family should they get into government. "We will not be raising income tax or VAT or national insurance - these are the things that count most as people are trying to manage their work income and family budgets," Mr Healey said.
