A nice gentle walk around the village of Eyam, known as the Plague Village.
In 1665 A terrible and deadly plague swept through the village.
In 14 months it killed at least 260 of the 350 population (74%).
The whole village quarantined itself from the rest of the UK to prevent further spread of the disease, and did so successfully, preventing the spread to surrounding areas.
