The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) announced on Wednesday the deaths of three soldiers during fighting in Gaza the previous day, as major military operations continued in Rafah in the southern Strip and Jabaliya in the north.
The fallen soldiers were identified as Staff Sgt.
Amir Galilove, 20, from Shimshit, Staff Sgt.
Uri Bar Or, 21, from Midreshet Ben-Gurion, and Staff Sgt.
Ido Appel, 21, from Tzofar.
According to an initial IDF investigation, the three were killed by an explosion in a booby-trapped building in Rafah.
All three served in the Nahal Brigadeâs 50th Battalion
