Ukraine has unveiled its latest weapon in the ongoing conflict, the Palianytsia missile-drone, designed to target Russian military airfields and neutralise their offensive capabilities.
Touted as the "Biggest Counterattack in Kursk War," the Palianytsia has already seen successful deployment, confirmed by President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
This advanced missile-drone is engineered to strike deep within Russian territory, specifically aiming at airfields from which thousands of missiles and glide bombs have been launched against Ukraine.
The introduction of this new weapon marks a significant escalation in Ukraine's defence strategy, signalling its determination to dismantle Russia's military power and protect its sovereignty.
U.S Special Envoy Steve Witkoff recently met Russian President Vladimir Putin in a bid to persuade Russia for a ceasefire deal in Ukraine. This was the 4th such meeting in just over 2 months, but there seems to be no breakthrough yet as Putin remains firm recognition of Russia's control over Crimea and the four regions under Russian control since 2022.
