A collective in Brazil is helping disabled people reach new heights
A group of volunteers, through a project called “Coletivo Inclusão”, is taking adventurous disabled people up one of Rio de Janeiro’s most complex trails, reaching places some would say impossible for those who are not able to walk.
Fernando Collor, Brazil’s former president, has been arrested and ordered to begin serving his prison sentence for corruption. Convicted in 2023 for accepting $3.5 million in bribes to facilitate contracts with Petrobras and UTC Engenharia, Collor's sentence was issued after his appeals were exhausted. The case emerged from Brazil's vast Operation Car Wash investigation, which has impacted numerous political figures.
