Ayo Edebiri is stepping into the world of Barney.
The Emmy-winning actress is in talks to write and star in a film about the beloved purple dinosaur for A24.
The project has been in development since 2019 when it was announced that Mattel Films and Daniel Kaluuya's 59% Productions would be partnering with A24 on the project about the children's TV character.

We finally got our hands on A24's 'The Smashing Machine' starring Dwayne Johnson. The film is highly anticipated considering The Rock has become known for blockbusters and spectacle rather than indie films. Johnson stars as Mark Kerr, the real-life two-time UFC Heavyweight Tournament Champion who was the subject of the 2002 HBO documentary of the same name that detailed Kerr's journey and struggles with addiction to pain killers.

FX is finally giving us details on season two of its Emmy-winning drama 'Shōgun.' Season two of the series — which set a record at last year's Emmys with 18 wins — is set to begin production in Vancouver in January 2026. The announcement finally comes almost a year after FX announced it was developing two additional installments in May 2024.

Following the season three finale of 'The White Lotus,' Mike White is getting candid about the series' Emmy-winning composer announcing he's quitting the show.
